Organized Swachhta Pakhwada w.e.f 16th to 31st December 2018
KVK West Garo Hills organized Swachhta Pakhwada w.e.f 16th to 31st December 2018, about 141 participants including farmers as well as employees took part in the programme. Date wise activities including Kisan Diwas on 23rd December were done based on the Swachhta Pakhwada action plan. The following activities included, Display of banner at prominent place, taking Swachhta pledge, plantation of trees, basic maintenance, weeding out of old records, disposing of old and obsolete furniture, cleanliness and sanitation drive in the villages adopted under Mera Goan Mera Gaurav, Stock taking of waste management and other activities including composting of kitchen and home waste materials, Cleanliness and sanitation drive within campus and surroundings including residential colonies, Awareness on cleaning of waste water harvesting for agriculture, celebration of Kisan Diwas ( Farmers Day), cleaning of public places and community market, Cleaning and creating awareness on treatment and safe disposal of biodegradable and non-biodegradable wastes was done. To come to the conclusion this programme has motivate and aware the people and the villagers to keep their surroundings as well as the locality clean.
